Implementation of Common Minimum Programme (CMP) for Qualilitative
Improvement of Primary Education in Kendriya Vidyalaya Lunglei Mizoram.

It has implemented since July 2009 in the Vidyalaya and following

(2) Developing of separate activity room for Primary Children
as per CMP:-
There is no vacant room in this Vidyalaya. Even class IX is running
in Watchman room.
(3) Developing of Class Library in Primary Section as
per CMP:-
The enrolment of Students in the Vidyalaya is very poor and it is
running only from class I to IX. So, School Library is functioning
as class Library.
(4) Modification of time table by making provision for
block period:-
Time table has been modified as per the CMP Guidelines making provision
of block period.
(5) Conducting CCA activities as per CMP Guidelines:-
We have already planned the Calendar for CCA activities which is
being organized on every alternate Friday as per the CMP Guidelines.
(6) Organizing Competition like paining /Poem recitation/
Story telling /drama/dance etc. for primary children:-
All these activities are being conducted time to time.
(7) Conducting games & sport activities through housed
for Primary Children:-
Games activities are being conducted and inter house competition has
already been organised.
(8) Medical Check-up of students of Primary classes:-
First round Medical Check-up of the students has already been conducted
in the month of September 2009.
(9) Celebration of Grand Parents day for Primary School
Children:-
We are celebrating the Special day like Grand Parents day, Teachers
days, Hindi Divas, Children Days, and Republic Days etc. regularly
in the Vidyalaya.
(10) Conducting of different activities on the occasion of Bal Diwas:-
We will conduct various activities on the forthcoming Bal Diwas on
14th November as per CMP Guidelines.
(11) Organizing Educational tour for Primary Children:-
We have already visited the nearby District Park at Zobawk on 25th
April 2009 and similar tour will be organized in coming time.
(12) Organization of Film Shows for Primary Children:-
Film “ Tare Zami Par” and “ Tom and Jery” have already been shown
to the children. Animation film “ Bal Hanuman” has also been shown
to the children and we will organize more film show in the coming
week.
(13) Giving Award/incentives to the Primary Children for best performance
in CCA:-
Award & incentives will be given to the winners of the different
events, conducted under CCA activities at the end of the Session.
It is a regular phenomenon in this Vidyalaya.
Most of the activities mentioned above are routine work and we are
following this strictly at my level best.

CMP ACTIVITIES
1. Manmohan Singh Class-III Sub- EVS
TOPIC- To prepare toys and things using waste materials .
Activity:- Students were taught how to use waste materials to prepare
things or toys. Here the children has made following things with waste
materials.
a) Toy Train –by the use of empty match Boxes and Buttons.
b) House- by the use of old cartoons boxes.
c) Utensils/ Diyas- By the use of clay soil and water.
2. Ranjit Singh Class – V Sub- Hindi
Topic:- Chawal ki Rotiyaa. Activity:- To prepare Roti of Rice .
Activity:- Students were taught how to prepare Roti of Rice . Children
has prepared Roti of Rice . By the drawing of the activities teacher
has made aware the children about the lesson.
3. Kamal Kumar Meena Class – I Sub- EVS
Topic- To test the understanding of student about the birds.
Activity- Children has been provided the blocks of different birds
and has been asked to join these blocks to give it proper shape of
the birds.
4. Manoj Kumar Sharma Class – V Sub- EVS
Topic- Wall tells stories
Activity:- By the use of building Blocks ,Students has prepared outline
of ancient buildings /forts . They have learned about historical structures
by making or doing.
5. P. B . Makwana Class-III Sub- English
Topic :- Trains ( Poem)
Activity :- Poem recitation . The teacher recited the poem in proper
rhythm two times. Student listened it carefully after that they formed
the shape of train by joining themselves and reciting the poem in
proper rhythm and moving like a train.
6. D. L. Jangid Class-II Sub- EVS
Topic- Type of House.
Activity:- Students has prepared different types of houses for example
Mud House, Hut, Pucca House, Tent House and Buildings. By this activity
students could realize the steps involved in construction of different
types of houses and the materials required.
